Let the Sign Ups Begin
With under two weeks until the official launch of Grand Prix Online signups for the 2010 season have opened.
In order to participate in the championship, team owners and drivers must first register and apply for membership on the official forums in order to gain a free participation license.
When you have been granted your participation license, you will be able to proceed to the GPCOS system and either register your team, or sign yourself up with an existing team.
We already have 18 entrants for the 2010 Championship; with teams beginning to launch their 2010 contenders, the tension is building for the season opener in Bahrain on March 13th.
Hello Beta Mod Ver 2.3
As GP-O continues with leaps and bounds to work towards the opening race in the leagues history things have really began to pick up pace.
Firstly, a completely revamped Beta Mod is now readily available to all our approved drivers in the forums. The mod is based on the Ferrari F60 from the LMT Modding Group. Remember registration is completely free… hang on… so is the racing! Just what is there to lose? Sign up today! You’re more than welcome to bring a friend but unfortunately you can’t already discount free things for doing that.
Elsewhere in the world of GrandPrix-Online we have plenty going on.
Our first track pack is in the final stages of completion before it is released to the public. Our track packs will come in different stages so you have access to groups of tracks at a time and can prepare for them in advance.
We also now are in the final preparations for signing sponsors for a teamspeak3 server to help out with team radios and race control during the events, plus we now have the fantastic Live Timing on our website for all the ontrack action and the amazing Live Stream which effectively becomes a TV Channel dedicated to GP-O in the making. All these exciting media prospects are already at our fingertips, not to mention a potential partnership with PSRTV.
As you can see, now is starting to become the most exciting time in GP-O’s short life span. We really hope you come to join in with our community and celebrate fresh starts, new beginnings and our pre-season excitment as the tension builds for when the red lights go out.
Welcome to Grand Prix Online

Our Mission Statement
Grand-Prix Online (GPO) aims to bring a competitive and professional league to the sim-racing community whilst maintaining a friendly, relaxed and fun environment for our community to blossom, grow and enjoy the experience we provide.
How Will We Provide That?
GPO will be building trusting and supportive working relationships with mod groups, talented individuals and racing teams and make of the decision making as possible a group decision. We will have active discussion topics in which our valued members can offer messages of support, praise and also constructive criticism. We will always listen and take on board what everyone has to say and GPO will work as an open book league, which means everything that is discussed or decided will be done so in a public manner.
We also know that people are not here for politics and decisions and just want to have fun out on the track, and we respect (and completely understand) that. Via our forums we will be actively promoting a harmonious community that will respect each other on and off the track. We aim to run our races as efficiently as possible and provide a clear rulebook that cannot be interpreted in more than one fashion.
GPO firmly believes that everyone who comes to sim-racing does it for the sheer enjoyment of racing, and that is first and foremost in the administration that run the league. This is what takes precedent over everything. This is why the league has been launched.
Who Will Provide This?
At present we have a leading committee of five members. Each has the following role but will always be happy to help if you need to ask a question regarding another matter:
Dave Carr-Smith, Roy Wachtmeester & Michael Pieneman are the league administrators for GPO. They will be dealing with all the running of the events and any post-race check analysis.
Simon Smith, Michael Pieneman and Stuart Fields will be dealing with marketing and publicity for GPO.
Stuart Fields will be leading our art and design department.
Between the five administrators, we will make sure that everything is ran in a fair and positive manner and give our very best efforts to ensure we can cater for as many people as we possibly can.
So What Can We Look Forward To?
~A mod that has been tested by the community to ensure its something the majority of people can adapt to and enjoy
~A set-up database which allows for drivers to learn about their cars whilst testing
~Advice and guidance on livery and painting design
~A monthly/bi-monthly newsletter packed with news, reviews and gossip
~Potentially a midweek fun race pending on community response
Most importantly… organised fun community racing!
We look forward to seeing you in the forums and out on the track,
With thanks,
GPO Admins
