Grand Prix Online’s next round will be held at Istanbul Park in sunny Turkey. Drazen Cokor is our new Challenge leader, whilst Malcolm Rice still hangs on to first place in the the Sprint Series standings.
The Track
Istanbul Park is 5.538 metres long and counting 14 corners. Eight of them turn to the left. Challenge drivers have to complete 58 laps in this race, whilst the sprint drivers have to go round 29 times.
Qualifying will commence this Saturday at 18:45 GMT for GP-O Challenge. GP-O Sprint drivers will qualify on Sunday at 9:00 GMT.
The Istanbul Park track is well know for one of the most challenging corners of this racing-year. Turn 8 is a long, fast corner with mulitple apexes along it’s length. This race will be tough for every driver, as it’s the first track on the calender which is counter-clockwise this year.
