Season 2011 – Countdown immenent

GPO 2011 is almost ready to open it’s curtains for the upcoming season.
As time progresses, GPO administrators are working very hard to get the best experience for our members. With just a mere month to go till the opening race in Bahrain, the GPO 2011 season is almost ready to open it’s curtains for all members.

Grand PrixView Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi


The 2010 season will be facing it’s last race this weekend. The Yas Marina circuit will be the host of the nineteenth round of the GPO championship. With both driver titles decided last race, just the Constructors title is at stake in Abu Dhabi. In Challenge, GRIDLine UK leads 21 points over Rothmans Racing, whilst Rice Racing tries to avoid losing more then fifteen points this race, to make sure they will take atleast one price home this season.

GPO Sprint – Hungary Results

Sven Hesse won the Hungarian GrandPrix, after a commanding race from start to finish. Malcolm Rice, his teammate came in second. Jack Nicholls drove a superb race and finished third.

GPO Challenge – Hungary Results

Muhammed Patel just won the GPO Challenge Hungarian Grand Prix, after a great battle lasting practically the entire race. Mike Seymour came in second, with Scott Wilde close by. The top three battled for several laps this race, finishing within almost 1 second. Surely this race was a great advert for GPO’s first broadcast with Simrace.tv.

Grand PrixView – Hungary

Only one week after the German Grand Prix, the next one is on the schedule. The Hungaroring, near Budapest, is the host of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Scott Wilde leads the Challenge series, with a marginal 2 points infront of Drazen Cokor. Stuart Fields is still on top of  Sprint Championship ladder, extending his lead over Malcolm Rice in Germany to  7 points.

GPO Sprint British GP: No Hassle for Hesse!

Sven Hesse has won the first race on the new Silverstone circuit for Rice Racing. Michael Pieneman came in second place for GRIDLine Racing. Stuart Fields brought his car home after an heroic race in third place for GRIDLine Racing Double R.

Grand Prixview – Silverstone, Great Britain

The next round of GrandPrix Online’s championship will be held in Northamptonshire, Great Britain. The circuit of Silverstone is exactly the halfway point for this season. In Challenge Drazen Cokor leads with 92 points, whilst in the Sprint series has Malcolm Rice still as leader with 144 points.

Silverstone. New, but is it better?

This year will venue a brand new lay-out at the Silverstone track. Some corners were sacrificed to benefit the Motor racers safety, and were replaced by fast sweeping corners and a hairpin. Sceptics were weary about these changes, because Silverstone was perfect the way it was, according to them. Are these changes really that good? GPO Press had the opportunity to walk around the new track and  experience it.

Grand Prixview – Valencia, Europe

Round nine of the GrandPrix Online championship will be held at the relatively new Valencia Circuit, after a short trip to  North America. Both Cordes and Rice are looking to match their victories in this Grand Prix, but the competition is fierce.

Grand PrixView – Montreal, Canada

After an eventfull Turkish Grand Prix, the teams crossed the ocean to participate in the Canadian Grand Prix. After an absent year, this famous track once more is on the calender. After seven rounds, Cokor leads the Challenge championship with a 14 point lead over Kammann. The Sprint table is led by Rice, who has Fields breathing down his neck.

Turkish GrandPrix Broadcast

After a few races without a broadcast, GPO is proud to announce that this feature will once more return. Challenge Series will be broadcasted again! The administration team is still looking for a solution to broadcast the Sprint series also.

Thanks to ProCaster Livestream, we are able to bring you live action from the track.

GPO is still looking for people who would like to join the broadcasting Team as commentators, also we are looking for additional cameramen especially for the sprint series.

Grand Prixview – Istanbul, Turkey

Grand Prix Online’s next round will be held at  Istanbul Park  in sunny Turkey. Drazen Cokor is our new Challenge leader, whilst Malcolm Rice still hangs on to  first place in the  the Sprint Series standings.

Official Practice Session Update

This weekend GrandPrix-Online will host it’s very first practice session. Two days long, the server will be open to practice for the upcoming Grand Prix of Turkey.

As a bonus to the practice sessions, parts of it will be live broadcasted on XFIRE !

Grand PrixView – Monte Carlo, Monaco

Just seven days after the Spain Grand Prix, the field settles in the capital city of stardom: Monte Carlo. The race in the streets of this Princedom is unique and already for decades the host of one of the highlights of the Grand Prix – Online Calender. Kammann still leads the Challenge standings, whilst Rice does the same for the Sprint series.

Grand Prixview – Circuit De Catalunya, Spain

This weekend will be all about the Grand Prix of Spain, hosted on the Circuit de Catalunya. This is officially the kick-off for part one of Grand-Prix Onlines European season.  The next three rounds will all be held on European land. After a quick visit to Canada, the final part of the European season will venue the next six races.

The 2010 season continues this weekend with the Chinese Grand Prix on the Shanghai International Circuit. After the first three races Jan-Moritz Kammann leads the Challenge championship with 52 points. The Sprint championship is led by Malcolm Rice, also with 52 points.
